Crystals and stones for magicke and healing have been used for centuries. There are many beautiful Crystals now available for purchase that did not exist 2000 years ago. Ok they existed but the capability to mine them did not. The New World stones may share many similar properties as their old world counterparts. 1. Amber- Balances the yin and yang energies. Worn to protect against accidental injuries and negative influences. Exerts positive influences on spleen, heart and endocrine system. To early Christians, amber signified the presence of the Lord. In the Far East, amber is the symbol of courage; Asian cultures regard amber as the 'soul of the tiger'; Egyptians placed a piece of amber in the casket of a loved one to ensure the body would forever remain whole.

2. Amethyst * - Stone of power, peace, protection and spiritual/psychic awakening. Transmutes one's lower nature into the more highly refined aspects of their high potentials . A powerful healing stone used to treat allergies, blood clots, headaches, insomnia and urinary problems.

3. Bloodstone - Sends out healing vibrations and brings harmony to those who wear it. It is a mental stimulant and blood purifier, strengthens heart, spleen and bone marrow.

13. Malachite /Azurite - Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans used malachite for jewelry and ground it to use as eye shadow. It is used in amulets to protect against the evil eye. In the Middle Ages it was used to protect children from witches and other dangers. Malachite has been called the Mirror of the Soul. It reaches the inner feelings of the person and reflects what is there, negative or positive. Malachite will always reflect how you feel, if you feel negative don't normally wear it.
